How to Buy on SnappinSell
SnappinSell gives you several ways to buy. Here’s what to expect during each part of the process.
- Reach out to the seller
The first step is always to contact the seller—ask a question, make an offer, or let them know you want to buy it now.
While not every seller may respond, SnappinSell encourages all users to be responsive and actively reminds sellers of this. If you don’t hear back, try following up once or search for similar items from other sellers. - Ask about the item
Need more info before buying? Tap Ask to chat with the seller. Your messages and their replies appear in your SnappinSell inbox, which you can access anytime from the home screen.
- Make an offer
Ready to purchase? Tap Make Offer, enter your amount, then tap again to submit. Negotiation is common, but be considerate—if your offer is too low, the seller may choose another buyer.
Note: If you can’t edit your offer amount, the seller is firm on price. Still curious? Use Ask to check if they might be flexible. - Ship to me
If you see a Ship To Me option, it means the seller offers shipping.
Select Ship To Me to review your offer (with shipping fees), confirm your address, and then submit. Prefer local pickup? Choose Make Offer and discuss pick-up after your offer is accepted. - Meet in person
Once the seller accepts your offer, arrange a safe meet-up spot—like a Community MeetUp location. Agree on price and payment method before meeting for a smooth transaction.
When you meet, inspect the item before paying to ensure satisfaction. - Buy now
The Buy Now feature (for shippable items only) lets you quickly purchase at full asking price. Tap Buy Now, review details, and confirm.
After delivery, you have 2 days to check your item. If there’s an issue, try resolving directly with the seller. If needed, file a 2-Day Purchase Protection claim with SnappinSell.
